The Pharmacy First Service, launched on 31 January 2024, allows community pharmacies like Southgate Pharmacy to manage and treat seven common conditions without requiring a GP appointment. This service is designed to offer convenient, fast, and expert care right in your local community.

How the Service Works

Walk-In Consultations

Simply visit Southgate Pharmacy, and our pharmacists will assess your symptoms.

Treatment & Advice

Our expert pharmacists will provide self-care recommendations and, if necessary, supply appropriate medication, including certain prescription-only medicines.

NHS Referrals

You may be referred by GP practices, NHS 111, urgent treatment centres, or hospital emergency departments.
